Our journey begins above Lake Bohinj going towards Komna, a scenic mountain hut with beautiful views of Lake Bohinj and a whole amphitheatre of peaks around it. On this 3-day trek we'll be exploring high Alpine scenery with enchanting rolling hills and great peaks; an open sunny trail with scenic vistas that passes the mountains above Lake Bohinj, goes past the largest alpine lake in Slovenia, Lake Krn, and to the peak of Mt. Krn, 2,244 m, the highest mountain of the Krn Mountains in the southwestern Julian Alps.
We head towards Mt. Krn, 2,244 m, the highest mountain of the Krn Mountains in the SW Julian Alps with stunning views of all Julian Alps. We descend to the Soča Valley. Ascent 880 m, descent 1300 m.
The tour ends in the beautiful Soča Valley where we explore the emerald green Soča River, considered one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe, its gorges and countless waterfalls. We will hike 8 - 10 km.
