In the heart of the Alps, we will visit one of the largest natural attractions in Slovenia - Lake Bled. Besides the blue-green water, we will be able to admire also the picturesque architecture of the Bled castle, which is built atop a cliff that rises above the lake. It is possible to reach the unique island in the middle of the lake with the traditional Pletna boat. There, we will climb up the 99 stone-step staircase to the church and ring the wishing bell. Alternatively, you can decide for a leisurely stroll along the lakeshore, enjoying some of the most spectacular views of this picturesque lake.

Great trip to the castle and lake

Great trip! The drive takes about 45minutes from the centre of Ljubljana. First we went to the castle and we would definitely recommend going here first to get views over the lake. The castle is very interesting in itself too. We then took a boat to the island and wandered around - this doesn’t take long. If you are feeling up to it, you can climb the 99 steps to the church at the top for some great views over the lake. In all, the trip takes around 5 hours or so. Our guide, David, was excellent and very knowledgeable.
Lake Bled is a must see trip

Our guide David was great - knowledgable, professional, and friendly. This tour is a must, if you are staying in Ljubljana or nearby. Lake Bled is truly stunning. You get to go across to the island and climb the steps to the church, or walk round the lake if you prefer. The castle is the first stop, and here is where you get your first view of the lake from up high. The day is not rushed, there is free time to walk around the castle, and the island on Lake Bled, and even time for a coffee and traditional Slovenian cream cake if you want. The pick up and drop off was very easy, with precise pin drop on Google maps. A very enjoyable trip.
Small group tour with a great guide

We were pleased to find out that we were part of only a small group of eight who travelled to Bled in a mini-bus with lots of interesting facts from the guide. Very comfortable transport. At the lake there are several activities to chose from and our guide was super-accommodating to enable each part of the group to participate in their preferred activities. A lovely day was had by all.
Visit this amazing place

A visit to Lake Bled is an absolute must when travelling to Ljubljana. Not too far out of the city centre, the castle offers a great vantage point of the lake. Take a pletna boat to the island in the middle of the lake, and if the weather is good do take a swim in the crystal clear water.
Our driver Samir was very helpful, speaks very good English and explained much about the area as well as Slovenia's history.
