Ljubljana
Tour Rating 4.7
Overview

Discover the Slovenian coast and the Karst region. The first stop is the UNESCO listed Skocjan Caves, one of the largest and most fascinating Karstic sites in Europe with the Reka River running 200m below the surface. Next stop in one of the local taverns with the famous Karst air-dried prosciutto tasting, accompanied with the local wine Teran – produced only in the Karst region. Short stop at Lipica, the homeland of the white Lipizzaner. Pass the coastal towns of Koper, Izola and Portoroz to reach everyone’s favourite spot on the Slovenian coast – Piran, where you can get lost in its medieval narrow streets and houses and enjoy some free time. One last stop at Predjama Castle on the way to Ljubljana. Discover the secrets of the largest cave castle (Guinnes World Records!), located on a 123-meter high cliff, and learn about the local Robin Hood, the legendary knight Erazem. Beautiful Slovenia!

Skocjan Caves were breathtakingly beautiful! And in Piran we had delicious ice cream served in a jar half-filled with fruit
Memorable

This tour was great - loved the stop at the caves, they were breath taking. The stop in Piran was long enough to have an explore & eat yummy sea food. We opted to miss the tasting stop in order to get more time in Piran which was the right decision, as I still felt like a little more time in Piran would have been nice! However, it still felt satisfying. Loved the stop to see the horses and to learn a bit about them. Our guide was amazing, funny, knowledgable & the van was comfortable and clean :)
No shuttle to ŠKocjan caves

There is no bus or shuttle from Divaca to the caves. We started to walk (an hour) but Google maps took us along a motorway with no foot path so that was impossible. 4 trains and a wasted day. We had prepaid our ticket. The caves may be amazing but don’t go unless you are driving. Also don’t believe everything that is on here (my fault, should have double check elsewhere).
Amazing experience for great value!

I usually don’t do tours but THIS WAS SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE! With the transportation in Slovenia, it’s a little tough to get around if you’re leaving the city. The transport in itself to these places all day was worth it, but to do so in great company AND learn sooo much great info? Would definitely do more tours with this company. Certainly recommend.
Great guide
