Often described as the ‘Image of Paradise’, the Alpine resort town of Bled will enchant you with its emerald-green lake, fairytale-like island and imposing castle reigning on top of a rocky cliff. You will have a chance to visit the castle and to take the small boat named “pletna” to visit the small island in the middle of the lake.

Additionally, participants should be aware that the Pletna boat ride might not be available during our afternoon tours because of their winter schedule. Damijan was fantastic! He provided lots of background knowledge about Slovenia customs, food, drink, the local area, and places to see. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip. It was the perfect length of time. Slovenia is such a beautiful country and we are glad he was our guide. We definitely recommend this trip and ask for him, personally!
A hidden gem - A wonderful experience!

What a great excursion and experience. We met wonderful people, learned some history of the area and came away with a great memory. My son also brought home an original souvenir - a print from their printing press (the oldest printing press is Slovenia) with a picture of the castle, his name, place and date of visit. He was even able to help in the process of making it, so it will be a definite keepsake!
