Triglav mountain is the highest mountain of Slovenia and lies in the Julian Alps as one of the most magnificent mountains with the great North wall. It has 2,864 m of altitude and Triglav is located in the heart of the Triglav National Park. Beside all it is the symbol of Slovenia and boasts the greatest Slovenian wall. All ascents are led by professional mountain guides with an international IFMGA license. From late June till late September we offer guided trips to Triglav in groups. We leave every Sunday/Monday and Wednesday/Thursday. You can choose your own term – PRIVATE guiding too.
First we pick you up at the meeting point and we drive to Krma Valley here we start with the hike. Great beginning of our hike, first part slowly through the forest and then over few meadows. At the shepard hut we usually meet cows and we take some time for the views and for snack from the backpack. After we continue and we get above the forest level and we walk on the solid limestone. Views are better and better. When you will come to Triglav lodge at Kredarica 2515m you will be able to se Mount Triglav 2864m - top of Slovenia. We take some lunch time there. Really nice meals that they offer as traditional mountain hut food. You can choose between strong soups as barley soup, cabbage soup, goulash... and some pasta, vegetarian meal too.
In the morning we usually do the ascent to the summit if the first day is not possible. So the guide prepare you with the harnesses and helmet and via Ferata system. Then you start with the climb to the summit surrounded with the best Slovenian views to Julian Alps, Triglav, Triglav national park and you will be able to take a photo at Aljaž tower the symbol of Slovenians. Then we have safe return back to the lodge and back to Krma Valley.
