That was a very nice evening with my friends here. I had barley soup, octopus hotpot and gibanica cake. All very nice, as well as the local wines. Cozy place when it is rainy outside, like it was that evening.
We had a fabulous lunch at Restaurant & Wine Bar Murka in Lake Bled. We had roasted lamb shanks over a bed of truffle mashed potatoes that was divine! For dessert, a pistachio cake along with a Bled cream cake, followed by a mixed fruit schnapps. Everything was wonderful as well as the service but we are convinced our waiter is a Harlequin romance book jacket model!
Mushroom soup is best ever, and that’s coming from a Kennett Square PA USA resident! Then the baked octopus & lamb shank was served, oh my, why did we wait until the last day of our visit to enjoy a meal here? The menu has a wide range of entrees.

Apachi bar Andreja Kun s.p. serves pizzas with crisp, golden crusts and hearty toppings in a cozy café where locals linger over rich coffee and casual bites.
