Tours & Activities in Postojna

Two mystical locations are waiting for you. On this guided tour, adventurers can journey by electric train and on foot through the Postojna Cave; a cavern system where limestone curtains hang, and stone pillars have formed over thousands of years. Above ground, you can go to the fairytale castle of Predjama – the seat of the Slovenian Robin Hood, Erasmus of Lueg, during the 15th century. Partially carved from the cliffside, the castle is a natural beauty with rare relics inside.

This little gem in quiet Postojna is a lovely traditional restaurant offering two set menu options for dinner, both featuring local specialties. There’s also a generous child’s plate available. The food is very good, with just the right portion sizes, and you can enjoy a glass of Slovenian wine with your meal. The service is attentive, and the staff all speak English, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. PS : there is a terrace but it’a more welcoming indoor.
Slovenian local beer and Slovenian “special” wine was very tasty. We were very surprised that Slovenian alcohol is this delicious (was our first time trying Slovenian). We ordered 3-course menu and daily course Food was very incredibly delicious. Flavour was very good balanced. Rich in flavour and the taste melts in the mouth. The waiter (we were served by) was also very friendly and nice service, and also recommended us the very good drinks. Was a very pleasant dinner. To add, the restaurant was very popular with many guests.
What an amazing find! We were just looking for a place to eat near our hotel and accidently stumbled on this place. We were very lucky to still get a table without reservation. We took a menu and all of the dishes were excellent and elegant. Best meal I had in Slovenia. I was honestly shocked by the price, in my opinion extremely cheap for the quality/balance of flavours and presentation. The service was very professional as well. The whole meal was well paced.
